Jasper Cairns
Jasper Cairns is an amateur short-story author based in the East Midlands who very much enjoys bananas. Though he also has been known to eat oranges and apples, bananas would definitely be his favourite. He also makes short films.
Q: If you could travel back in time, which of the great writers would you like to meet and why?
A: I’d like to meet George Orwell and show him what life is like today.
Q: What is the first book you remember reading or having read to you as a child?
A: Aliens in Underpants. A children’s literature classic.
Q: Do you have a favourite quote? (From a book, film, song, speech…)
A: ‘All happy families resemble one another; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.’
Q: Is there a book that you keep going back to, and if so, how many times have you read it?
A: Hamlet. Could and probably will read it over 100 times.
